Guatemala has always been an essential part of our lives, profoundly shaping our project in countless ways, from its awe-inspiring Mayan legacy and vibrant natural landscapes to its culture brimming with color, scent, and sound that fuel our inspiration. Every product we create carries a story, a tradition, and a piece of Guatemala’s soul.
The name UTZ comes from Kaqchikel, one of the 25 Mayan languages spoken in Guatemala, and means “good”. For us, UTZ stands for much more than a word, it embodies authenticity, ethics, and craftsmanship. It’s a statement of values and a guiding principle behind everything we do.
We founded UTZ HOME in 2021 with a clear mission: to showcase and promote the richness of Guatemalan craftsmanship across Europe, elevating traditional techniques and bringing global recognition to the talent of local artisans. Today, we’re proud to ship our products throughout Europe, bringing quality, sustainability, design, and culture to homes far and wide.

Our mission is to elevate Guatemalan talent and craftsmanship internationally, especially in Europe, proving that responsible, conscious, and purpose-driven consumption is possible. We hope that every home receiving one of our products also receives a piece of Guatemala.
Our products
Each of our products is handcrafted, sustainable, and unique. We work hand-in-hand with local artisans from various regions of Guatemala who craft each piece with dedication, ancestral knowledge, and 100% natural materials. In our store, you’ll mainly find two product lines:
- Ceramics: Handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
- Glassware: Artisanal blown glass, made from reused materials with a focus on durability and functional aesthetics.
